Capcom recently unveiled a new trailer for the upcoming Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection. The latest Monster Hunter Stories 3 trailer gives players a glimpse of the characters and story that will be featured in the RPG, hyping fans up before the release.

The Monster Hunter Stories series began on the Nintendo 3DS in 2016 as a spin-off of the popular Monster Hunter franchise. The game stood out due to its turn-based gameplay, a stark contrast to the mainline series’ action RPG elements. Due to the success of the first game, which was later ported to PS4, Switch, PC, and mobile devices, Monster Hunter Stories 2 was released in 2021. Back in July, Capcom announced Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection as the next game in the series.

Capcom Releases New Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflections Trailer

During its event at Tokyo Game Show, Capcom showcased a new trailer for Monster Hunter Stories 3, revealing more details about the upcoming turn-based RPG. The story will be set 200 years after a major war between two nations: Azuria and Vermeil. Gamers will play as the heir to the Azuria throne, who is chosen to lead the Rangers, and will adventure together with Eleanor, the princess of Vermeil. The heroes will team up in an exciting journey, which concerns the future of their kingdoms and an ancient prophecy regarding the twin Rathalos being born. Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection will be released on March 13, 2026, and it’ll be available for Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.

The trailer also showcased some small glimpses of the actual gameplay of Monster Hunter Stories 3, in which the protagonists can be seen fighting a Feral Chatacabra and a Magnamalo. While not much can be seen from these scenes, the main character uses a double attack with their Rathalos companion, and it’s already known that the upcoming RPG will feature turn-based combat like previous Monster Hunter Stories entries.

Monster Hunter Stories 3’s trailer was not the only news regarding Capcom’s popular series to be featured in the company’s Tokyo Game Show presentation, though. Capcom also confirmed Monster Hunter Wilds’ Title Update 3, which will feature a crossover event with the popular Final Fantasy 14. The collab will introduce a hunt against the boss Omega Planetes, as well as unique rewards. Hopefully, these new updates will keep Monster Hunter Wilds players occupied before the release of the eagerly awaited spin-off game.
