Some great players have represented Australia over the years and here's their best-ever XI!

Australia have achieved something no other team can claim as they are the only national team to have won continental champions with two confederations, the OFC Nations Cup and the AFC Asian Cup.

The Socceroos have also participated in the World Cup on six occasions following their Qatar 2022 opener against France, having previously featured in 1974, 2006, 2010, 2014, 2018.

The 2015 Asian Cup winners have seen a wealth of talent represent them over the years, with the likes of Harry Kewell, Mark Viduka and Tim Cahill arguably their biggest stars ever.

But what does their greatest-ever XI look like?

Let's take a look!

Schwarzer made his international debut against Canada in a World Cup qualifier and went on to make 109 appearances.

He became the most-capped player for Australia when he surpassed Alex Tobin's appearance record in January 2011.

Schwarzer was instrumental in their qualification for the 2006 World Cup, when they beat Uruguay in a penalty shootout to book their ticket.

He helped the Aussies reach the round of 16 at that tournament and also featured at the 2010 World Cup where Australia finished third in their group on goal difference.

Rangers great Craig Moore made a name for himself as a tough tackler, who also possessed a sense of composure in high-intensity games.
